They are under starter’s orders…….and now they’re off!
The 2023 Galway festival takes place over the next 7 days. With an expected attendance of over 250,000, the city will come alive with a real buzz at night, and perhaps some hangovers the following day. Ireland’s most famous racing festival is a fun-filled seven days where people might win (or lose) a few euros and then leave with great new experiences, new friends and a time that will never be forgotten.
There are 49 races in the schedule and the total Prize money on offer is in excess of €2 million. The famous Galway Plate takes place on Wednesday followed by the Guinness Galway Hurdle Handicap on Thurs and the Guinness Handicap on Friday.
The BTI Rentals and Event teams have put in the hard work over the last few weeks building the coldrooms and bars. Working closely with the Guinness Quality Team, they’ve installed the draught beer systems to dispense the Great Looking & Great Tasting Guinness on the racecourse over the festival period.
